Ergonomics

Ergonomics is the scientific discipline concerned with the understanding of interactions among humans and other elements of a system, and the profession that applies theory, principles, data and methods to design in order to optimise human wellbeing and overall system performance.

Ergonomics is employed to fulfil the two goals of health and productivity.  It is essentially about “fitting work to people”.  It’s the process of designing or arranging workplaces, products and systems so that they fit the people who use them.
